Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified Instructor or Assistant Teaching Professor to join our Marketing Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various undergraduate courses in Marketing, including Introductory Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy, Global Marketing, Sales and Personal Selling, and Retail Strategy. This is a non-tenure track appointment with a primary focus on teaching responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for marketing education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success. Key Responsibilities Teach seven courses per year in the Undergraduate Marketing program, including Introductory Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy, Global Marketing, Sales and Personal Selling, and Retail Strategy Develop and deliver high-quality course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments Engage with students, provide guidance and support, and foster a positive learning environment Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings, events, and initiatives Contribute to the development of curriculum and program improvements Collaborate with colleagues to advance the mission of the Marketing Department and the Smeal College of Business Essential Qualifications Hold the equivalent of a master's degree or higher in Marketing or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Economics) Strong teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students Experience in developing and delivering course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced academic environment, with a high level of organization and time management Commitment to student success and a passion for marketing education Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level Research experience in marketing or a related field Experience with course development and curriculum design Familiarity with online teaching platforms and technologies Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a member of the Smeal College of Business team, you will have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: Professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and training programs Collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunities for advancement and career growth Access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources Competitive salary and benefits package Work Environment and Company Culture The Smeal College of Business is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
