About the Position We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to drive the transformation of our IT infrastructure. As a key member of our Infrastructure Engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading the modernization of our infrastructure, automating manual processes, and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce risk. You'll work closely with senior leadership to drive performance and accountability, ensuring that our infrastructure is aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead and Transform Infrastructure: Spearhead the transformation of our current IT environment to ensure stability, security, and reliability. This includes identifying areas for improvement, developing strategies for modernization, and implementing changes to drive efficiency and reduce risk. Automation and Efficiency: Automate existing manual procedures to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall productivity. This includes identifying opportunities for automation, developing automation scripts, and implementing automation solutions. Technology Innovation: Identify and implement new technologies, processes, and skills to modernize our infrastructure and stay ahead of the curve. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest technical trends, evaluating new technologies, and developing strategies for implementation. Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to drive effective communication, risk management, and performance accountability. This includes developing and presenting technical plans, providing status updates, and ensuring that technical decisions are aligned with business objectives. Team Development and Mentoring: Develop and mentor teams of engineers to proactively ensure platform stability, availability, and reliability. This includes providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members, as well as developing training plans to enhance technical skills. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A college degree or equivalent experience of 10+ years in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or information technology. 10+ years of expert-level experience in engineering new technical solutions, including designing, developing, and implementing complex technical systems. Strong communication skills to set clear goals, relay status to management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ability to lead current technical trends and anticipate future technology needs, including staying up-to-date with the latest technical advancements and evaluating new technologies. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, is a plus, although not required. Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the crowd, you'll ideally have: Experience in mentoring and knowledge sharing within teams, including developing training plans and providing technical guidance to team members. A proven track record of influencing IT and business partners, including developing and presenting technical plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
