As a Senior Engineer in the Integrated Operations Division, you'll be part of a dynamic team that keeps the world's largest carrier running smoothly, caring for people on life's journey. About the Role This position is a key member of the Engineering Group within the Integrated Operations Division at blithequark. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. You'll also establish and help maintain aircraft and part standards within areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities Conducts training for Specialists in area(s) of expertise Fills in as guide to different Architects and as team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, and ensures that Engineering practices are properly validated according to relevant guidelines and Company manuals Creates customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals Stays informed about daily carrier operations, including field of liability, and reviews daily needs according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates Examines aircraft/part issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant expenses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions Provides Engineering support as needed to attitude of discrepant circumstances affecting aircraft or parts to restore workable status Answers demands from Maintenance and other carrier divisions when technical support is needed to help operations or resolve issues Develops action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or part engineering tasks and pursues definite attitudes according to estimated needs Coordinates with other aircraft divisions, as needed, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of engineering practices Prepares Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates Maintains knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations, which affect areas of responsibility, and ensures that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements Uses available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience regularly, and strives to improve communications skills, using time effectively, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties Actively engages with frontline colleagues and management alike Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or related Engineering permit At least 1 year of engineering experience in a connected field, or 2 years of experience without a degree A&P permit Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to analyze technical data and make informed decisions Demonstrates flexibility, capacity, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities Ability to prepare and deliver presentations that promote acceptance of solutions Ability to connect with internal and external clients effectively What You'll Get At blithequark, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical benefits: On day one, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay healthy.
