The Role: Senior Customer Service Representative – Healthcare and Medicare Expertise In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to our valued customers via inbound Call Center Operations. As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a mentor to new call center agents, supporting their growth and development, while also contributing to the improvement of your peers. Key Responsibilities: Receive and respond to inbound phone calls from customers seeking assistance, ensuring that every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism. Respond to outbound phone call requests, providing timely and effective solutions to customer inquiries. Accurately document all calls in our ticketing and tracking systems, maintaining detailed records of customer interactions. Respond to customer inquiries and provide data to customers within required time frames, ensuring that our service standards are consistently met. Function as a liaison between the claims department and providers, facilitating seamless communication and resolving issues efficiently. Research customer claims in primary payor systems, utilizing your knowledge of healthcare and Medicare to provide informed support. Ensure the highest level of customer service on every call, consistently exceeding customer expectations and promoting a positive experience. What You Bring to the Table: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a deep understanding of covered plan benefits, as well as knowledge of physician practice and hospital coding, billing, and medical terminology. Your experience in handling escalated calls and issues will be invaluable, as will your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced call center environment. Additionally, you should have: A full comprehensive understanding of the covered plan benefits, enabling you to provide accurate and informed support to customers. Knowledge of physician practice and hospital coding, billing, and medical terminology, facilitating effective communication with healthcare providers. Experience in taking escalated calls and issues, utilizing your expertise to resolve complex customer inquiries. A basic understanding of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel, to efficiently document and track customer interactions. 3+ years of experience in a Healthcare Call Center operations, including Medicare/Medicare Advantage, providing a strong foundation for success in this role. A high school degree, with a strong preference for candidates with higher education or relevant certifications in healthcare or customer service. Essential Qualifications: In addition to the above requirements, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
