Senior Clinical Data Scientist- Clinical Development/Spotfire
Job Summary: The Data Scientist III will support clinical development programs by delivering advanced analytics and data-driven insights to improve clinical trial execution and decision-making. This role focuses on applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization techniques to complex clinical research problems. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to design and deploy fit-for-purpose analytical solutions across the research and development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and execute analytical support for assigned clinical trials aligned with therapeutic programs • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights across the clinical trial lifecycle • Identify study needs and develop risk-based quality management deliverables, reports, and analyses • Design and standardize analytical work products to ensure consistency and optimal user experience • Develop prototypes, algorithms, and models using advanced statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence methods • Create key performance indicators, dashboards, and statistical reports to monitor trial performance and emerging risks • Act as an analytics consultant to evaluate trial progress and support decision-making discussions • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practices, regulatory guidelines, and internal quality standards Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field • Three or more years of analytics experience in clinical research with exposure to clinical data • Strong proficiency in R programming and experience with Python or other statistical tools • Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent • Proven ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in a related quantitative field • Experience applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques in clinical development • Background in risk-based quality management and clinical trial reporting Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.
