VocoVision specializes in placing PTs in virtual positions serving students throughout New Mexico, maintaining a continuous pool of qualified candidates for opportunities with our partner school districts. These remote positions offer the chance to support students' physical development and educational access while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. Typical assignments involve approximately 37.5 hours weekly with caseloads of 45-55 students spanning preschool through high school. You'll address diverse needs including gross motor delays, muscle weakness, limited range of motion, balance and coordination difficulties, gait abnormalities, and mobility challenges. Core Responsibilities: Your work centers on helping students develop physical abilities necessary for school participation: You'll conduct thorough PT evaluations using standardized assessments and functional observations; create appropriate IEP goals addressing gross motor development and functional mobility; provide direct teletherapy sessions incorporating therapeutic exercises and activities; recommend positioning equipment, adaptive devices, and mobility aids; develop strategies for safe transfers and movement throughout school environments; consult with PE teachers about activity modifications and inclusion strategies; collaborate with families on home exercise programs that reinforce therapy goals; maintain detailed documentation of services, progress, and outcomes; participate actively in IEP team meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration. Essential Qualifications: Active physical therapy license in New Mexico - Doctor of Physical Therapy or Master's degree in Physical Therapy - Minimum two years of pediatric or school-based PT experience - Strong knowledge of childhood motor development and movement disorders - Understanding of special education law and IEP processes - Excellent communication skills for virtual consultation with teams and families - Proficiency with teletherapy technology and digital documentation - Ability to observe and assess movement patterns through video - Creative problem-solving for adapting therapy activities to virtual format.
