Long Term Recovery Group of Santa Cruz County is seeking a dedicated AmeriCorps member to serve as a Project Lead/Volunteer Coordinator. This hybrid role involves managing volunteer logistics and leading construction efforts to support community recovery after recent disasters. Responsibilities Manage logistics for groups of up to 50 volunteers Lead compelling orientations Use tools like PointApp and Google Sheets to track community impact Maintain clean, safe worksites Participate in hands-on building phases Act as the primary point of contact for individual, nonprofit, and corporate volunteer groups Support outreach and special events to boost local preparedness Receive weekly coaching and site-specific training to build skills in project management and disaster recovery Skills At least 17 years of age with a high school diploma (or equivalent) A U.S. Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident A service-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, 'get-your-hands-dirty' environment Resilient: You handle setbacks with professionalism and stay focused on the mission A Communicator: You can explain complex needs to diverse groups and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations Benefits Health Benefits & Childcare Assistance Loan Forbearance Professional Network Company Overview The Long Term Recovery Group of Santa Cruz County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit uniting local jurisdictions, community based, faith-based, state, and national organizations to address the needs of those impacted by the CZU Fire and 2023 Atmospheric Rivers.
