Salesforce Administrator / Systems Partner for Growing Nonprofit (Part-Time)

Remote Full-time

We are seeking a part-time Salesforce professional who can serve as both a hands-on administrator and a strategic thought partner as we design, organize, and scale our systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands that Salesforce in a nonprofit is not just a database—it is the backbone of service delivery, reporting, communication, and impact. We are not looking for a short-term fix. We are looking for a steady, reliable partner who can help us build the right foundation, maintain it well, and think forward with us as our programs, data needs, and integrations grow. Scope of Work You will support the day-to-day management of Salesforce while also helping us design and improve systems that support nonprofit service delivery and operations. Key responsibilities include: • Salesforce setup, configuration, and ongoing administration • Data architecture, object design, and field structure aligned with nonprofit programs and outcomes • Data hygiene, data governance, and documentation of processes • User management, permissions, and training support for staff • Creation and refinement of reports and dashboards for leadership and funders • Troubleshooting system issues and optimizing workflows • Helping translate real-world program operations into effective Salesforce processes Integrations & Systems Thinking We are particularly interested in someone with experience integrating Salesforce with other commonly used nonprofit tools, including: • Texting and SMS platforms • Learning Management Systems (LMS) • JotForm or similar intake/form tools • MailChimp or other email marketing platforms • External databases and reporting systems Experience designing clean data flows between systems is essential. We value thoughtful architecture over quick fixes. Ideal Experience & Background The strongest candidates will have: • Demonstrated Salesforce experience, preferably in nonprofit or human services environments • Understanding of program delivery, case management, or client engagement models • Experience supporting organizations that are scaling or formalizing systems • Comfort working with incomplete systems and helping design structure from the ground up • Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical staff • A mindset that balances compliance, usability, and future growth Salesforce certifications are welcome but not required. Practical experience and good judgment matter more. Time Commitment • Part-time role • Estimated 5–15 hours per week to start • Flexible schedule, with occasional real-time collaboration as needed What Success Looks Like Success in this role means: • Salesforce becomes organized, reliable, and usable for daily operations • Staff trust the system and understand how to use it • Leadership can see clear data tied to programs and outcomes • Integrations work smoothly and reduce manual effort • The system is built with future growth in mind Apply tot his job
