Key Responsibilities: Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet customers in a positive and approachable manner, assist them with selecting merchandise, and answer questions about the store and products. Maintain a Clean and Well-Stocked Store: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor. Stock Shelves and Recover Merchandise: Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and easily accessible to customers. Process Transactions and Handle Customer Funds: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ensure a Safe and Secure Shopping Environment: Remain constantly aware of customer activity and ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any incidents or concerns. Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform all other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising, inventory management, and other tasks as needed. Position Requirements: To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Education: We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent, and who are able to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned. Experience: Preferably, you'll have experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, where you've developed strong customer service skills and a keen sense of attention to detail. Physical Requirements: You'll need to be able to regularly lift up to 40lbs (and occasionally, up to 55lbs) from floor level to above shoulder height, and be able to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability: You'll need to be available to work a flexible, full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet the demands of our business.
