[Remote] Vice President Product Management - Data

The Vice President of Product Management will build and lead the data product strategy that powers the company's AI platform and analytics, focusing on creating data pipelines, infrastructure, and products that enable scalable AI capabilities. Responsibilities • Define and execute the data vision : Own the strategy and roadmap for our data platform—modern pipelines, connected datasets, and scalable infrastructure designed to support and extend our AI platform and analytics • Build AI-ready data foundations : Deliver clean, connected, and compliant datasets, external APIs, and streaming data to power AI and reporting • Own analytics & reporting outcomes: Ensure our analytics product and data export offerings solve valuable customer needs, and support the value of our connected platform through connected insights • Enable AI at scale : Partner with AI/ML teams to identify how our data can fuel new predictive, prescriptive, and generative capabilities • Modernize while you build : Lead the evolution from legacy systems to a modern, monetizable, and AI-ready data platform • Cross-functional leadership : Collaborate with engineering, compliance, commercial, and AI/ML teams to deliver high-impact data products under real-world constraints • Monetize data assets : Develop strategies to turn data into customer-facing and revenue-generating products, licensing opportunities, and embedded insights Skills • 7+ years in product management, including 3+ years leading data products and 2+ years in regulated domains (life sciences, pharma, healthtech, etc.) • Proven experience building AI-ready data foundations—orchestrating pipelines, ensuring lineage, quality, and machine learning readiness • Track record of monetizing data assets through analytics products, APIs, licensing, or embedded insights • Hands-on familiarity with streaming data, real-time ingestion, and near real-time analytics at scale • Experience with data connectors and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, custom APIs, etc.) • Strategic builder: Sees data as the platform for AI and business value, not just reporting • Tenacious driver: Pushes through ambiguity, blockers, and resistance to deliver results • Execution-oriented: Excels at sequencing, scoping, and managing tradeoffs under constraints • Influential communicator: Bridges technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders • Team-first leader: Develops talent and fosters a high-accountability product culture • Technically fluent: Comfortable discussing data architecture, streaming systems, AI/ML data readiness, and integration infrastructure with engineering leaders Company Overview • MasterControl develops quality and manufacturing software solutions to help the life science sector manufacture and commercialize products.
