[Remote] UX Researcher- Global Monetization Product and Technology

In this role, you will lead strategic research to identify product opportunities and analyze user behavior to inform product development within the Global monetization space. Responsibilities • Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences within the Global monetization space • Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing) • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations Skills • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development, or a Master's degree and 3+ years relevant experience, or a PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience • Proven experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, concept testing, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis • Ability to work independently and autonomously, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast changing environment • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate research findings into strategic narratives and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data analysis tools such as StQL, Python, R, SPSS, or equivalent • Experience working in a global organization and collaborating across diverse teams and time zones • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience partnering with designers, product managers, and engineers • Proven ability to influence product strategy through high-quality, data-driven research • Familiarity with the social media industry or content creation platforms Benefits • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) savings plan with company match • Paid parental leave • Short-term and long-term disability coverage • Life insurance • Wellbeing benefits • 10 paid holidays per year • 10 paid sick days per year • 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure) Company Overview • TikTok is a short-form video entertainment app and social network platform.
