They are seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) to ensure high quality and reliability standards for releases, while developing test plans and optimizing testing processes. Responsibilities • Identify and isolate issues across our platform • Develop and maintain thorough test plans • Optimize end-to-end testing processes • Develop and execute regression test plans • Create and maintain test cases for new features • Ensure ongoing validity of existing test suites • Collaborate effectively with other SDETs • Coordinate the release of major features across multiple platforms • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot E2E tests • Adapt and fix tests as needed • Proactively address flaky or broken tests • Optimize test coverage • Learn about the platform through exploratory, functional, and regression testing • Update and/or create test cases for upcoming integration release • Investigate use of automated tests in other areas of the platform • Improve Platform E2E tests • Review the product spec for an upcoming feature • Identify and implement missing E2E tests for current untouched systems Skills • 6+ years experience as a Software Developer in Test or QA Automation Engineer • Proficient in identifying and diagnosing defects across various system components, including WebRTC (Rust), Backend (Golang), and Frontend (Typescript), providing comprehensive bug reports and actionable insights • Experienced in developing and executing regression test plans, creating and maintaining test cases for new features, and ensuring the ongoing validity of existing test suites • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other SDETs to coordinate the release of major features across multiple platforms (Platform, Mobile, Ground App) • Skilled in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting E2E tests, adapting and fixing tests as needed to accommodate production code changes and ensure test reliability • Committed to continuously improving testing processes and frameworks, proactively addressing flaky or broken tests and optimizing test coverage • Candidates must be based in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) or be willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours to effectively collaborate with our core team Benefits • Flexible PTO : We seriously mean it, plus 11 company holidays. • Fully-paid health benefits plan for employees : including Medical, Dental, and Vision and an HSA match. • Family Leave : All employees receive 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave.
