What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities As a REMOTE Senior Claims Specialist - Non-Auto Liability , you'll be responsible for: Adjudicating all aspects of the claims handling process under minimal supervision, ensuring timely and fair resolution of claims. Conducting phone interviews and investigations to determine liability and damages, using your expertise and analytical skills to make informed decisions. Finalizing liability determinations for third-party losses and negotiating settlements, working closely with insureds, claimants, agents, and attorneys. Communicating professionally with stakeholders regarding claims status, providing clear and concise updates and resolving issues promptly. Assisting in mentoring other claims representatives within the department, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow and develop. The Ideal Candidate: Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: An active state adjuster license or the ability to obtain one following the date of hire. A minimum of four years of multi-line claims adjusting work experience, with a strong track record of handling complex claims. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. The ability to work independently and manage difficult conversations, with a strong focus on customer service and claims resolution. What Sets You Apart: Preferred Qualifications If you have: Six years or more of claims handling experience, with a deep understanding of the insurance industry and claims handling best practices. A completed four-year degree in a related field such as Criminal Justice or Insurance and Risk Management.
