[Remote] Publishing Intern

The Publishing Intern will assist in manuscript writing and editing, conduct research, and contribute to publishing strategies while gaining hands-on experience in the marketing and publishing industry. Responsibilities • Assisting in drafting and structuring book manuscripts and employee manuals • Ensuring consistency in voice, style, and structure across manuscript projects • Providing feedback and revisions to improve the clarity and coherence of long-form content • Conducting research related to client projects, industry standards, and publishing best practices • Organizing materials and resources to support client projects • Refining narrative flow and clarity in book projects • Developing high-quality long-form content for client manuscripts • Collaborating with editors to maintain consistent brand storytelling • Reviewing manuscripts for grammar, style, and structural accuracy • Preparing content for publication, ensuring adherence to formatting guidelines • Participating in creative strategy sessions for manuscript development • Supporting the publishing team with content organization and editorial planning Skills • Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution and receiving school credit for the internship • Must be able to demonstrate that the internship is integrated with their coursework, enhancing their educational experience • Must fulfill specific educational requirements set by their institution, department, or major program of study • Degree/profile in Publishing, Marketing, English, Communication, etc • Fluent English (Bilingual is a plus) • Business-oriented and open-minded • Good communication skills • Able to gain people's confidence and put them at ease • Able to cope with pressure • Flexible and adaptable Benefits • Access to 5-6 figure training programs related to field • Mentorship Program, one-on-one mentoring and 2 sessions post-internship for wrapping up and job readiness • Hands-on professional experience that teaches valuable skills applicable in your personal life and professional career • Collaboration with and real-time constructive feedback from managers who have excellent industry acumen • Opportunities to interact with senior leadership • Lasting career connections with fellow interns, mentors, and clients • Eligibility to earn academic credit, contingent on internship course credit offerings at enrolled institution Company Overview • Reaching & Rooted is a Publishing and Consulting agency with a focus on helping storytellers, entrepreneurs, and educators tell their story, unleash their knowledge, and generate more revenue while helping as many people as possible.
