Required Skills & Experience Core Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field • 3+ years of experience proofreading digital content, ideally for tech-focused or publishing organizations • Advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation in American English • Familiarity with AP, Chicago, and in-house style guides • Strong command of digital editing software and proofreading tools • Demonstrated self-sufficiency in virtual work settings and proficiency in juggling several assignments across distributed teams Preferred Skills • Experience in proofreading technical documentation or marketing collateral • Comfortable with editing content for multilingual audiences • Knowledge of SEO best practices, especially in editorial formatting • Exposure to localization workflows and terminology databases Performance Metrics We value outcomes over hours.
