This position is fully remote (off-site), requiring daily communication with the main office via phone and the Internet. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Medical Malpractice & Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while providing essential legal support in complex medical malpractice cases and broader civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess superior legal research and drafting skills, a proactive approach to legal analysis, and excellent negotiation abilities. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on medical malpractice claims, personal injury, and complex civil litigation issues. • Conduct detailed legal research and medical-legal analysis utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other specialized research platforms. • Draft and review high-level legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda, with precision and clarity. • Advise clients on a broad spectrum of civil matters, which may include personal injury law, insurance defense, and general litigation. • Negotiate settlements and legal terms effectively on behalf of clients while maintaining the highest level of professional integrity. • Stay current with evolving case law and regulations affecting medical malpractice and civil procedure to ensure a strategic advantage. • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm’s virtual office environment to deliver high-quality service. • Manage multiple complex cases efficiently while adhering to strict court deadlines and maintaining meticulous records. Experience & Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in relevant jurisdictions. • 3+ years of proven experience in medical malpractice or civil litigation. • Demonstrated expertise in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. • Superior writing skills coupled with exceptional legal drafting abilities (writing samples will be required). • Prior experience working remotely is highly desirable; familiarity with virtual collaboration tools is a plus. • Background in handling diverse litigation issues, such as personal injury claims, insurance disputes, or administrative hearings, is advantageous. • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex medical and legal concepts clearly for clients and team members alike.
