[Remote] Direct Response Marketer

They are seeking a Direct Response Marketer to inspire members and prospects to take action towards financial independence through effective marketing campaigns and compelling copy. Responsibilities Developing Big Ideas for our marketing campaigns; working with the investment team on the strategy, and with the creative and product teams on the implementation Generating fresh concepts regularly (new angles, new formats, new hooks) and bringing them to life with minimal handholding, from first draft through launch-ready execution Collaborating with designers and fellow copywriters to provide constructive feedback on all creative content before live testing Testing new variations on control creative to keep it performing at maximum levels. Relentlessly Proactively identifying opportunities throughout the funnel (email, ads, landing pages, order pages, upsells, etc.) and taking action to improve conversion and member experience Researching individual stocks, macro-economic and country related themes, and consumer trends, and investor psychology Using performance learnings and feedback loops to improve current and future campaigns Contributing to the creative needs of multiple channels including Video Sales Letters, emails, display ads, text placements, landing pages, order pages, microsites... and others we haven’t thought of yet because you don’t work here yet Skills Evidence of persuasive writing ability—examples could include something shorter like email sales copy, or something longer like a long form sales letter Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate and enhance copywriting Ability to research and write about topics previously unknown Empathetic understanding of what motivates people to act Highly performance-focused with a love for winning and motivated by results Data fluent with the ability to interpret performance signals and seek feedback Proactively find opportunities rather than waiting for someone to point them out Enjoy working as part of a team Benefits Flexible, remote work environment (*see our open states above) No “vacation policy” (not to be confused with a “No vacation” policy) Generous fully-paid parental leave $1,000 annually to invest in stocks of your choice Super low premiums for medical, dental, and vision coverage Comprehensive compensation package, including company equity Company Overview The Motley Fool is a multimedia financial services company providing websites, books, newspaper columns, TV appearances, and newsletters.
