Job Overview As a Remote Call Center Representative - Data Entry Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient information into the company's systems, handling patient prescription requests, and resolving data entry-related exceptions. You will also provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and remote, and communicate with patients, prescribers, and insurers to resolve issues and obtain necessary information. Key Responsibilities Utilize Walgreens' data entry guidelines and procedures to process new patient enrollments by entering information into the appropriate systems. Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing. Research and obtain missing prescription information, and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolve all data entry-related exceptions, including Outsider Oddballs, by investigating, gathering information, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing. Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients, prescribers, and insurers to resolve issues and obtain necessary information. Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and remote, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as needed. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Basic level PC skills, including the ability to start and shut down a computer, use a mouse, and access information online. Basic web navigation skills, including the ability to open a browser, type in URLs, and complete online forms. Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and formatting documents). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus: At least 1 year of pharmacy specialist experience in a retail or call center environment. A minimum of 1.5 years as a pharmacy specialist with certification/registration by the State Board for Pharmacy or a widely recognized certification agency. Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction. Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and formatting documents). Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
