Project-Based CTE Curriculum Developer

WeThrive is a youth entrepreneurship and economic leadership program that equips middle and high school students to launch real businesses with real funding while building critical career and life skills. We are expanding into the Career & Technical Education (CTE) space and are looking for an experienced curriculum developer to help us align our existing entrepreneurship program with CTE standards. Role Overview We are seeking a Curriculum Developer (project-based) with expertise in Career & Technical Education (CTE) to adapt and expand our entrepreneurship curriculum so that it aligns with state, federal, and industry standards (e.g., Perkins V, National Career Clusters, industry certifications). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating curriculum that is standards-aligned, project-based, and credential-ready. This is a short-term contract role with the potential for ongoing collaboration. Responsibilities: Review our existing youth entrepreneurship curriculum and identify opportunities for alignment with CTE frameworks, pathways, and clusters. Map curriculum outcomes to Perkins V requirements, state CTE standards, and industry-recognized credentials (e.g., entrepreneurship, financial literacy, career readiness, OSHA, digital tools, etc.). Recommend and integrate certifications and micro-credentials relevant to entrepreneurship and career readiness. Create curriculum and clear alignment documents (curriculum maps, scope & sequence, standards crosswalks). Suggest strategies for embedding curriculum into school-day, afterschool, and district-level CTE programs. Deliverables may include: Standards alignment map Lesson/unit outlines Recommendations for credential integration Educator implementation guidance Qualifications: Proven experience developing CTE-aligned curriculum (preferably in entrepreneurship, business, or career readiness). Strong knowledge of Perkins V, National Career Clusters Framework, and state-level CTE requirements. Experience mapping learning outcomes to industry-recognized certifications and credentials. Ability to design project-based, student-centered learning experiences. Excellent written communication and curriculum documentation skills. Familiarity with EdTech, youth entrepreneurship, or workforce readiness a plus. Project Details: Type: One-time project (with potential for follow-on work).
