The Role: Driving DevOps Excellence As our Principal DevOps Engineer, you will be a technical authority and individual contributor who will drive organizational change by developing and implementing DevOps tooling, practices, and culture. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our enterprise-wide strategy and ensuring the adoption of best practices across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our visibility, scalability, availability, security, and cost performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of DevOps strategy, covering design, tooling, practices, and culture. Establish and maintain DevOps best practices, including version control, code review, automated testing, and deployment techniques. Design and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage resources across cloud environments. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, ensuring fast and reliable application deployment. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and automation to enhance deployment consistency and accuracy. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within our DevOps ecosystem. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Required Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree and have a strong background in DevOps engineering. We're looking for someone with a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for innovation. Essential Capabilities: Experience working in public cloud environments, preferably GCP, Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, for automating resource provisioning and configuration. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, and version control systems like Git. Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or similar. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex DevOps platform issues and provide effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Capabilities: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Cloud Logging Solutions to ensure application performance and system health. Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure deployment practices. Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding junior engineers, is a plus.
