About the Position We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to fill the role of Postdoctoral Scholar - Teaching Fellow. This 2-year position, potentially renewable for a third year, involves significant teaching responsibilities in our medical school's gross anatomy course and an undergraduate-level anatomy course. You will work closely with other faculty and postdoctoral teaching fellows to deliver high-quality education using our state-of-the-art gross anatomy lab. Key Responsibilities: Teach and assist in the medical school's gross anatomy course with full cadaver dissection and an undergraduate-level anatomy course with cadaver prosections. Collaborate with departmental faculty and postdoctoral teaching fellows in a team-taught environment. Utilize computer-based technologies in teaching within our newly renovated gross anatomy lab. Contribute to the development of research in some area of the anatomical sciences, ideally evolutionary and functional morphology. Engage in scholarly activities and collaborations within the department and across the University. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a relevant field (ABD applicants will also be considered). Strong commitment to teaching and research in the anatomical sciences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience teaching cadaveric human gross anatomy. Research interests in evolutionary morphology or related areas. Experience with computer-based technologies in education. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you should possess: Strong knowledge of anatomical sciences, particularly gross anatomy.
