PMO Associate, Public Sector (remote)
About the position The Public Sector PMO Associate at Huron is responsible for managing a portfolio of low complexity public sector engagements, ensuring compliance with government regulations and contractual requirements. This role involves providing guidance to delivery teams, managing relationships with contractors and clients, and overseeing project execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality performance standards. The position is advisory in nature but may require full dedication to specific projects based on business needs. Responsibilities • Analyze contract requirements to ensure compliance with laws and corporate policies. • Provide contractual guidance for Statements of Work. • Manage relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, and teaming partners. • Oversee relationships with client's Contracting Officer Representative and Project Manager. • Deliver on all contract requirements including technical, cost, schedule, and quality performance. • Develop and manage project workplans and management plans. • Create status reports as required by contract or internal needs. • Ensure adherence to documentation templates and compliance management practices. • Assist with onboarding of new project staff to government contracting processes. • Set up and maintain projects in the ERP system. • Oversee PMO Analyst in completing project tasks accurately and timely. • Coordinate with Engagement Assurance team to monitor project health and escalate risks or issues. • Provide data for contract vehicle reporting or audit requirements. • Participate in internal strategic initiatives and projects as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's degree required. • 2+ years of project or contract management experience. • Understanding of government contracting procedures and contract types. • PMP Certification preferred. • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Smartsheet. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision. • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. • Ability to work with diverse teams in a virtual environment. • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required by the contract. • Ability to read and analyze complex federal documents.
