Practice Details Our Sanford Clinic is seeking a talented colorectal surgeon to join a successful, well-established practice. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside a diverse group of 7 surgeons and 6 advanced practice providers. Key highlights of this opportunity include: Call ratio of 1:7 High-volume turnkey practice with 15-20 patients per day Advanced technology, including multiple daVinci systems Large referral base spanning Western North Dakota Teaching/academic setting available within the UND School of Medicine Community Description Bismarck, the capital city of North Dakota, offers a unique blend of urban and rural living. Job Description As a Physician - Colorectal Surgery at Sanford Health, your primary responsibilities will include: Providing pre-, intra-, and postoperative care to patients with various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the alimentary tract, abdomen, and its contents Performing surgical procedures, including colorectal surgery, for adolescents and adults Admitting, evaluating, and diagnosing patients Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Participating in on-call emergent/urgent needs of the pediatric and pre-adolescent surgical patient Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated surgical residency program or a clinical fellowship of at least five years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada Board certification or eligibility in colorectal surgery Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways: Providing a residency or fellowship log for applicants who have just completed a residency Providing a quality profile from hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications Applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of General Surgery and case volumes should show performance of at least 100 procedures in the past 12 months Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Excellent clinical and surgical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Sanford Health, we're committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our team members.
