Job Summary As a Pharmacy Technician Data Entry - Customer Service, you will perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed-door pharmacy. Your primary responsibilities will include triaging customer service requests, calculating and verifying correct dosages, and providing dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies and drug interactions. Key Responsibilities: Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions Assisting in reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timely return Providing dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags Creating and maintaining accurate customer records Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and efficient medication dispensing process Providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer inquiries Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a call center Verifiable High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the long-term care industry PTCB National Certification Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Omnicare, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
