We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Operations Manager to join our Finance and Administration team. As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the operational functions of SSW, ensuring they are efficient and in compliance with School and University policies and standards. About the Role The Operations Manager will report to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and will be responsible for managing the administration and facilities of the Dean's Office and the rest of SSW. The ideal candidate will be able to find collaborative solutions in a complex and fast-paced environment. The incumbent will directly supervise two staff members, including assigning work, projects, and responsibilities as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational support to the School of Social Work, ensuring efficient and compliant management of administrative functions. Oversee the administration and facilities of the Dean's Office and the rest of SSW, including budgeting, finance, and human resources. Supervise and manage a team of staff members, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities as needed. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify and address operational needs and concerns. Ensure compliance with School and University policies and standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations. Analyze and resolve complex operational problems, using sound judgment and discretion. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and risk management processes. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, management, or social work). 3-5 years of direct experience in operations management, including 2+ years of management experience. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and SAP. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. Discretion, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Experience in supervising staff members. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field (e.g., business, management, or social work). Experience in higher education or a related field. Familiarity with budgeting and financial management. Experience with project management and implementation.
