Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Part-time Barista to join our Food Service team. As a Part-time Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a part-time position, expected to work 16 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $16. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly manner and take food and drink orders. Identify prices of products and services and tabulate bills with available equipment. Take payment from customers and ensure accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift. Prepare and serve beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones. Prepare and serve food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries. Answer customers' questions about menu choices and promote and recommend menu options to customers. Maintain inventory and equipment by cleaning and restocking supplies. Keep the work environment sanitary and organized. Essential Qualifications Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated experience handling US currency. Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds. Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers & calculator. Food Handlers Permit (if hired within 14 days). Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a food service environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn college systems. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
