Monument Advocacy is a fast growing, nationally recognized consulting firm focused on strategic communications, public affairs and government relations. The Manager, Public Affairs will support the team by driving communications campaigns, liaising with clients, and managing various deliverables while ensuring effective communication and organization within the office. Responsibilities Helping to drive communications and public affairs campaigns Preparing teams for weekly status and strategy meetings Serving as a liaison between firm and clients, tracking and ensuring deliverables for multiple clients Creating the first draft of client notes, media releases, op-eds, and other written materials Helping senior executives manage, track, and fulfill tasks and deliverables – including organizing meetings and supporting and read-ahead materials to prep for meetings Closely monitoring communications and policy developments that are relevant to clients Research, note taking, and writing Supporting media relations Creating social media content Helping organize client events, including staffing and attending Managing schedules for office, division and client leads Skills Experience in navigating complex communications and policy challenges to advance our clients' public affairs goals Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills Experience managing stakeholder and third-party relationships Familiarity with digital media Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly in a changing environment with shifting priorities Exemplary (clear, concise) writing and editing skills with high proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet use Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving Experience managing and prioritizing a busy calendar Experience scheduling travel and using the appropriate technology Possess a stellar work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills Discretion and maturity in handling confidential matters Bachelor's degree or Associates degree plus relevant experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Similar experience or internships with at least 1-3 years in related fields, such as on the Hill, or with other consulting firms, trade associations, NGOs or campaigns Experience designing in Canva preferred, but not required Benefits 100% Employer paid (employee only) Medical and Dental insurance, both national plans HSA Employer contributions (if the HSA medical plan is chosen) 100% Employer paid IDI, LTD, AD&D and Life insurance Additional Voluntary Life insurance (100% Employee paid) 401(k) Employer contributions of 3% immediate vesting Monthly commuter stipend Company cell phone or personal phone reimbursement Company credit card Unlimited PTO 15 paid federal holidays per year Summer “half Fridays” Generous paid parental leave Flexible, hybrid work arrangements Company Overview Monument Advocacy is a government relations, strategic communications company.
