Legal Assistant / Paralegal / Document Manager for Corporate Law Firm
We are seeking a detail-oriented CORPORATE Legal Assistant to support our Corporate Law Firm in managing records efficiently. The ideal candidate will assist in organizing, categorizing, and maintaining legal documents including running and managing REDLINES using MICROSOFT WORD COMPARE function. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. Familiarity with legal terminology and records management systems or with venture capital, startup, private equity financings and transactions will be a plus. We are looking for NO LESS THAN TWO / 2 hour response time from Mon through Fri from 8 am to 6 pm San Francisco Time Zone. If you are proactive and have a passion for law, we would love to hear from you! UPDATE: We have updated to 2 hour response time goal, but realize that is fast in some situations. Following are some projects / tasks we are looking for help with and would like someone with experience in these. 1. Naming / Saving / Organizing Documents in Dropbox 2. Running Redlines using Microsoft Word, then saving, making PDFs, and naming. 3. Preparing closing documents for financings, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. 4. Preparing Signature Pages for YC SAFEs, Convertible Notes, NVCA Series A, Series Seed, Mergers. 5. Circulating Signature Pages with Hellosign / Dropbox Sign. 6. Following up on emails with reminders about outstanding actions. Maintaining lists. 7. Building and maintaining data rooms, diligence rooms, client shared folders. Apply tot his job
