About the Role blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Science Consultant to join our Customer Excellence Data and Analytics (CEDA) organization. As a Lead Data Science Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through data-driven insights, leveraging advanced analytical techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex business issues. Your expertise in data science will be instrumental in developing predictive models, identifying performance opportunities, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead complex data science initiatives, utilizing advanced analytical, statistical techniques, and machine learning algorithms to derive actionable insights and trends that inform business strategies. Build and maintain support for data-driven recommendations, collaborating with peers, colleagues, and senior managers to drive business outcomes and resolve issues. Design and execute complex analytical experiments, developing innovative statistical models to solve abstract business problems across various domains. Interpret and analyze data using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, providing recommendations to solve problems and influence business decisions. Offer consultation on data science best practices, methods, and tools, ensuring that peers are equipped to leverage data science capabilities effectively. Communicate complex insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences, using data visualization and storytelling techniques to ensure that findings are actionable and impactful. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations. A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science. Desired Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Fluency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, and SQL (Teradata), with experience in machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP). Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and extensive model development and validation experience, including end-to-end model build efforts from discovery to deployment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency in designing and performing model testing, including explainability, robustness, and fairness testing. Experience in creating accompanying documentation in the model development process.
