Job Description
REMOTE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Global Data Systems, a successful growing technology/telecommunications company, is currently seeking Technical Support personnel that have good communication skills and experience in network troubleshooting in the Lafayette area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
?Provide superior customer service and Tier 1 support end users.
?Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, email, & web based tools.
?Demonstrate and maintain basic knowledge and certification on technologies related to Microsoft, iDirect, and Cisco .
?Work independently, as well as, with other engineers and support vendors to diagnose problems and bring about successful resolution within designated Service Level Agreements (SLA?).
?Candidates should have strong networking knowledge and a CCNA and/or equivalent is a plus.
?High School diploma and one year of technology related experience working with Personal Computers, Routers, Switches and/or related networks and at least three months of demonstrated customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
