Principal Cybersecurity Consultant - GRC

Verizon is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Cybersecurity Consultant - GRC to join our team. This critical position will be responsible for providing technical and strategic guidance to our internal and external stakeholders in the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as a passion for leading change and making a positive impact.To be successful in this role, you must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting and/or GRC, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Additionally, you must have a Bachelor?s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Security, or Cybersecurity. Additionally, experience with risk management frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO, etc.) is essential.You must be a self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. You should have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and be able to think strategically and creatively. Responsibilities: Provide technical and strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders in the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Ensure compliance with relevant risk management frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO, etc.). Develop and implement strategies to reduce cybersecurity risks. Evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures and identify areas for improvement. Facilitate risk assessment workshops and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure security objectives are met. Develop and maintain security policies and procedures. Monitor new cybersecurity technologies and trends. Provide training and guidance to technical teams and personnel. Respond to security incidents and coordinate incident response.
