They are seeking a full-time IME Financial Coordinator responsible for following up on Independent Medical Exams and ensuring timely payment for services by contacting various payers. Responsibilities Mails out bills with reports to insurance company or law firm Submits claims and documentation to responsible parties for processing and payment Maintaining telephone contact with parties as needed to inform and update Maintaining documentation of all correspondence and contact with carrier, claimant, physician, attorneys, etc. to ensure a comprehensive and detailed source of information regarding the case Complete account review and distribution of payments from unallocated accounts Maintain a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction Assist staff members when necessary in a positive and professional manner to ensure the patients receive the utmost in care Perform work with accuracy to minimize error correction by other staff members Double check data entry to ensure the correct information has been entered into the NextGen and Athena system Organize and prioritizes work to make sure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner Stay abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA Adapt to change in positive and professional manner Any and all other duties as assigned Skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Stay abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA Workers Comp experience helpful Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.
