Role Description The Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer will support the Bariatric Surgery Department by collecting and submitting reliable data to the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Data Registry Platform. The BSCR will work closely with the members of the Bariatric Surgery Department to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and ensure the ongoing evaluation of clinical outcomes for the department. • Care coordination and advocacy • Establishes effective working relationships with members of the hospital community • Identifies 100% of bariatric surgery patients for inclusion in the data registry • Responsible for accurate and timely data entry into the Bariatric Program's database • Collects follow up data at 30 days, 6 months, one year and annually thereafter • Utilizes software applications for data collection and analysis • Serves as an educational resource on the Bariatric Data Registry Platform • Effects change through advocacy for the profession and interdisciplinary healthcare team • Identifies quality improvement opportunities based on the data collected • Maintains a comprehensive and accurate clinical dashboard • Participates in professional nursing organizations and partners with community organizations Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare field or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing • 3 Years Clinical experience in nursing or in a hospital surgery department • Clinical chart review and abstraction experience is preferred • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications • Master's Degree in Healthcare field • Master's Degree in Nursing • Certification in specialty area of practice highly desired Requirements • Basic statistical knowledge and database management preferred • Computer proficiency in applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint required • Performance Improvement or patient safety knowledge is required • Able to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support • Data collection and identification of areas in quality improvement requires clinical knowledge Benefits • Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $58.920 - $76.030 - $85.150 • The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will depend on various factors Apply tot his job
