Role Description The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will serve as the organization’s compliance leader, responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive compliance program. This role ensures adherence to federal and state regulations, industry standards, payer requirements, HQAA accreditation standards and internal policies. The CCO will partner with executive leadership to foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability across all operations. • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program tailored to DME/CRT operations. • Monitor regulatory changes (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, FDA, state-specific requirements) and ensure timely organizational response. • Lead compliance audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans. • Ensure ongoing HQAA accreditation compliance and readiness. • Provide guidance on billing, documentation, and reimbursement practices to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Clinical teams to align compliance with organizational goals. • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors. • Educate and train staff at all levels on compliance policies, ethical practices, and regulatory updates. • Report regularly to the Board and executive team on compliance risks, trends, and mitigation strategies. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or Master’s in Healthcare Administration preferred. • 10+ years of progressive compliance leadership experience, ideally within healthcare, DME, or CRT. • Deep knowledge of CMS regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and payer compliance requirements. • Proven ability to design and operationalize compliance programs in complex, multi-state environments. • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk management.
