Hardware Asset Management Technical Developer (Remote)
About the position This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. Provides technical solutions within the ServiceNow ITAM products based on configuration best practices. Responsible for designing, developing, and testing technical solutions through deployment. Responsibilities • Be the technical expert in how to best support IT by configuring ITAM processes using ServiceNow best practices focused on configuration vs. customization • Leads technical efforts in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow application. • Support the engagements efforts for ITAM specific areas, which include software asset management (SAM) and hardware asset management (HAM) implementations. • Advise process owners in their efforts to take advantage of the ServiceNow ITAM Solution's standard capabilities in their efforts to improve their IT processes. • Keeps up with the latest ServiceNow releases and advises of upcoming changes or new features. • Lead design workshops focused on ServiceNow Platform and ITAM Solution technology. • Completing required documentation such as business requirements for technical aspects of the solution. • Work with other solutions teams to ensure consistency across the platform. • Using Agile methodology to draft technically focused user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans. • Create change requests and adhere to all change management delivery processes. • Perform knowledge transfer, obtain approvals, and support delivery. • Provide technical aspects of project delivery and solution delivery. • Develop required portal components. • Prepare all deliverables focused on the technology and responsible for quality of configured/developed solution. • Responsible for presenting and demoing solutions prior to deployment. • Juggle multiple and complex projects/initiatives. • Promoting continuous improvement practices for delivery/engagement materials. • Provides support to technical teams during upgrades. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting. • At least 5 years of ITAM configuration/implementation experience in complex customer environments. • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) in an IT environment, while providing thought leadership to IT sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems. • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, Bootstrap, CSS, middleware, LDAP, SSO, etc.) and working with SaaS technologies. • Strong understanding with leading IT and related systems and tools such as Office 365, Teams, Workday, Twilio, etc. • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity. • Proven team player and team builder.
