Fund Accounting Manager - Hedge Funds/Private Markets (West Coast)

Oversee and manage all aspects of fund accounting operations for hedge fund and private markets clients. Ensure accurate and timely recording of fund transactions, including trade settlements, income and expense accruals, and investor capital activity. Monitor and analyze fund performance and financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and client requirements. Lead a team of fund accountants, providing guidance and support while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a point of contact for any accounting-related inquiries or concerns. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and clients, highlighting fund performance and any significant variances. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and investor relations, to ensure smooth and efficient fund operations. Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Participate in the recruitment and training of new fund accounting staff to support business growth. Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional client service and addressing any client concerns in a timely and professional manner. Act as a subject matter expert in fund accounting, providing guidance and training to team members and clients when needed. Lead or assist with special projects or initiatives related to fund accounting, such as system implementations or process enhancements. Continuously evaluate and improve fund accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with other fund accounting managers across different regions to share best practices and ensure consistency in processes and procedures.
