Job Summary As the Front End Lead, you'll oversee frontline operations in the absence of the Front End Manager, coaching, teaching, and developing team members to ensure exceptional member service. You'll drive membership metrics, lead teams to deliver GOLD club standards, and provide excellent customer service to our members. This role requires a strong leader with a diverse skillset, a passion for delivering results, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee frontline operations, including cashiers, SCO, and membership desk, in the absence of the Front End Manager Coach, teach, and develop team members to ensure excellent member service and drive business results Drive membership metrics through acquisition, retention, loyalty, and experience programs Lead teams to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including maintaining a clean and organized club environment Provide excellent customer service to members, resolving concerns and issues in a timely and efficient manner Supervise and train team members on tasks, responsibilities, and expectations defined by position Utilize Cashier Observation Forms, Cashier Productivity Boards, and membership metrics reports to drive performance and member engagement Perform front end responsibilities, including closing through POS, and member escalated service issues Act as a backup for cashiers and Membership Sales Ambassadors when needed Manage self-checkout lanes and scan and pan lanes, ensuring accurate inventory counts and purchase totals Stay up-to-date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information Maintain all club policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and a safe work environment Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Front End Lead at BJ's Wholesale Club, you'll need: Prior leadership experience, preferably in a retail or membership-based environment Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and members Ability to navigate within system applications and utilize online task management systems (MyWork) Physical ability to move about frequently on hard surfaces, lift objects up to 30 pounds, and occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Prior membership or sales knowledge and experience Prior cashier experience Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment What We Offer At BJ's Wholesale Club, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Weekly pay Generous time off programs to support busy lifestyles Benefit plans for your changing needs, including medical, dental, and flexible spending options Opportunities for career growth and development A collaborative and inclusive work environment Career Growth and Development As a Front End Lead at BJ's Wholesale Club, you'll have opportunities to develop your skills and advance your career.
