Fractional CTO for Revolutionary HR Tech Platform The Opportunity I'm seeking a senior technical leader to oversee a SaaS platform that's pioneering a completely new approach to talent acquisition. This platform addresses a critical need that has existed in the HR space for decades but has never been successfully solved — until now. This isn't just another HR tool. We're transforming how organizations connect with candidates on a fundamental level — helping them communicate not just what they do, but who they are at their core. The result? Your oversight will directly impact how thousands of organizations revolutionize their talent acquisition, moving beyond traditional job descriptions to connect with candidates' deeper motivations and values. The Role This is a strategic oversight position — no hands-on coding required. You'll: Initial Assessment (First 30 Days): •Audit our AWS infrastructure and security posture • Review architecture decisions and codebase quality • Evaluate our offshore development team's capabilities • Assess our disaster recovery documentation • Recommend optimal monthly engagement hours Ongoing Responsibilities: • Challenge and validate technical decisions before implementation • Ensure scalable, secure architecture as we expand • Keep offshore developers accountable for quality and timelines • Translate business vision into technical excellence • Provide direct, honest feedback when something isn't right What You Bring Required: • 10+ years in senior engineering leadership (CTO/VP Engineering level) • Deep AWS expertise (EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudFront, Lambda) • Experience managing/auditing offshore development teams • Track record with B2B SaaS platforms • Direct communication style — diplomatic but with backbone Ideal: • Experience with platforms in rapid growth phase • Background in enterprise software or HR tech • Comfortable working evenings/weekends (EST timezone) Compensation & Engagement • $75-$125/hour based on experience • Start with 20-40 hours/month, adjusting based on needs • Long-term fractional engagement • Immediate start preferred Who You'll Partner With I'm a veteran entrepreneur with 40+ years building innovative solutions for Fortune 500 clients including Oracle, Accenture, and Kimberly-Clark.
