Family Law Paralegal (Fully Remote)

The Mint Law Firm is a somewhat new law firm with a new approach and we are currently seeking a paralegal with at least 5 years’ experience exclusive to family law to assist with document drafting and case management in a 100% remote capacity. How is our approach different? • You set the max number of hours per week that you can devote to the firm; • You will not be prohibited from other employment so long as no conflict or solicitation exists; • You will work on your own time schedule; and • You can work 100% from the comfort of your own home. Duties will include: • Document Drafting: Motions practice and preparation of and review of FL family law pleadings and forms; • Client interaction: Getting the documents and data that we need is essential. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in family law; • Clean disciplinary record; • Strong knowledge of family law; • Upbeat and friendly personality • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; • Some availability during normal business hours (M-F 9-5) for virtual client meetings; • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams; Pay: • Pay is per diem and will range anywhere from $35per hour to $45 per hour, dependent upon experience, credentials, and hours per week/month available; • Malpractice insurance is paid for by the firm; • Eligible for productivity-based bonuses once certain hours are met; • Eligible for technology reimbursement once certain hours are met; and About Us: • We are a new but growing firm • There are three partners in the law firm, two of which spent many years in large law firms and two of which have significant business and marketing experience; • The firm has a physical office in Lakeland, FL and serves the greater Lakeland area. • We’re a positive and fun group of people and want to bring back the joy of practicing law in a laid-back and rewarding setting; • We have a very good and multifaceted marketing plan of action that has generated great results; • We know how to both listen and take advice, meaning all teammates are an integral part of the operation; • We are serious, well credentialed attorneys with proven track records of operating and successfully growing law firms and businesses alike; • We are all 15 year plus practitioners. If everything works out well, the idea would be to bring you on as a fulltime W2 employee. • A paralegal who has called family law their primary practice area for at least 5 years. Who is Not Suited For This Job? • Any paralegal with a super heavy caseload or other large commitments that already take the majority of their time; • Any individual that has only dabbled in family law.
