Expert Maya & AutoCAD - VDI Performance Tester
We are seeking a high-level Creative Professional/Engineer to stress-test and validate our new GPU-accelerated Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). We need someone who can push the limits of Autodesk Maya and AutoCAD while providing technical feedback on latency, graphics rendering, and overall platform stability. Key Responsibilities: Workflow Testing: Execute complex real-world tasks (high-poly modeling in Maya, 3D rendering, and large-scale architectural drafting in AutoCAD). Technical Benchmarking: Run standardized benchmarks (e.g., SPECviewperf, Cinebench) and monitor system resources (GPU-Z, Task Manager) to identify performance ceilings. UX Validation: Critically evaluate the "Remote Feel"—measuring input lag, mouse precision, and screen refresh rates compared to a local workstation. Stress Testing: Intentionally push the VDI to its breaking point (e.g., simultaneous 4K video playback + heavy background rendering) to test stability. Reporting: Provide a structured report on "User Experience vs. Hardware Specs," highlighting any visual artifacts, driver issues, or session drops. Required Skills & Experience: Software Mastery: 5+ years of professional experience in Autodesk Maya (Rendering/Animation) and AutoCAD (3D Modeling/Xrefs). Hardware Literacy: Strong understanding of GPU acceleration, vGPU profiles, and how they impact creative software. Network Savvy: Ability to assess the impact of network latency (Ping/Jitter) on the design experience. Analytical Mindset: You aren't just a user; you are a problem solver who can pinpoint if a "lag" is caused by the network, the CPU, or the GPU. Hardware/Connection Requirements: Must have a stable internet connection (minimum 50Mbps down / 10Mbps up). Must have a multi-monitor setup (to test multi-display VDI performance). Experience with Citrix HDX, VMware Blast, or Microsoft RDP is highly preferred. Apply tot his job
