About the Role As a YouTube Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our online communities. You will be responsible for creating and managing Discord servers, monitoring user sentiment, and enforcing community guidelines to maintain a positive and respectful environment. If you're passionate about community building, have excellent communication skills, and are tech-savvy, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Create and manage multiple Discord servers, establishing guidelines for participation and taking proactive measures to ensure community rules are being followed. Stay up-to-date with emerging platform features and trends, developing innovative strategies to drive user satisfaction and engagement. Research and understand the client's audience, tailoring tone, community guidelines, and overall messaging to suit their brand and demographic. Establish clear goals and structure for measuring success, deriving meaningful value, and reporting findings to internal teams. Collaborate with internal Account Administrators to ideate innovative partnerships and integrate into best practice proposals. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of Discord moderation/administration experience. A thorough understanding of digital security best practices and Discord moderation processes. High technical proficiency and significant knowledge of the Discord platform. Refined problem-solving skills - able to handle unstructured issues and build strategic solutions. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the crowd, you'll have: Experience with multiple social media platforms, including Twitch, Blender, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube. A proven track record of navigating complex workflows, tight schedules, and shifting priorities. A curious and enthusiastic mindset, with a desire to continuously learn and grow.
