Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Video Editor to work on a significant project involving approximately 85 videos, each averaging 10 minutes in length. These videos are already edited and have a rough audio mix, but they require a professional touch to enhance their quality and make them suitable for various platforms, including YouTube and Instagram. Key Responsibilities Replace Music: Update the music in each video with new tracks from our library, ensuring the audio complements the visual content. Create Catchy Intros: Design and add a 5-second catchy intro derived from the main body of each piece, capturing the viewer's attention from the start. Standardize Text Cards: Replace existing text cards with our new simple text template, maintaining consistency across all videos. Add Branding: Incorporate our logo and title at the front of each edit, reinforcing our brand identity. YouTube Version: Create a YouTube version of each edit by copying and pasting the sequence, censoring swear words, and removing the logo from the front. End Screens: Add an end screen to the YouTube versions with a clear call to action, engaging viewers and encouraging interaction. Instagram Content: Select three 30-second sections from each video and create Instagram-style captioned 9x16 videos, optimizing our content for different platforms. Social Trailers: Edit 15x 30-second social trailers in 9x16 format, one for each group of videos, to promote our content across social media. File Management: Provide us with DaVinci files at the end of the project or work directly from our cloud server, ensuring seamless collaboration and file management. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong background in video editing, with a portfolio that showcases your skills and creativity. Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or similar video editing software. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Strong understanding of YouTube and Instagram content styles, including formatting and best practices. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge: Experience with color grading and audio mixing. Knowledge of branding guidelines and how to apply them in video content. Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools.
