Job Overview As an Amazon Picker Packer, you will be part of the dedicated team at our delivery station, which is the last stop before we deliver smiles to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, using technology to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. You may also be part of the team that works with larger items, such as large screen TVs, furniture, and appliances, and will be trained on how to use technology to handle these heavy bulk items. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity, you will be expected to work efficiently and effectively to meet our high standards and deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Receive and prepare inventory for delivery, ensuring that all items are accurately scanned and labeled Use technology, such as smartphones and handheld devices, to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and to manage inventory levels and track shipments Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages, ensuring that all items are properly secured and labeled Receive truck deliveries, verifying the accuracy of shipments and reporting any discrepancies or issues Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives, and to maintain a safe and productive work environment Lift up to 49 pounds, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts, as required Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around the warehouse, as needed Go up and down stairs (where applicable), and work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable) What it's Like to Work at an Amazon Delivery Station Our delivery stations are fast-paced, dynamic environments that are focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
