About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team at arenaflex is dedicated to driving future innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging. We focus on developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, and more, to ensure the delivery of robust products that seamlessly integrate into our fulfillment network. Our team is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions, including robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. Job Overview We're seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual & Simulation Testing to join our MSP team. As a virtual testing expert, you will develop and execute virtual system test plans, simulations, and emulations to validate system-level requirements, meet customer deliverables, and ensure integrated system performance across all sub-components. Your primary focus will be on creating virtual platforms that allow solutions to be tested and verified with a high degree of fidelity, using real software, at full scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Teams, QA Manual Testing and Requirements Teams, and internal customers, to drive high-quality product delivery and ensure that new solutions meet their requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing to virtually validate end-to-end solutions with real-life software Ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending solutions to these issues Connect with internal customers, review client, customer, and user feedback, and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites Preferred Qualifications Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with team members, operations, and management Project management skills, with the ability to start and finish projects successfully Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
