Position Overview: Virtual Special Education Teacher We're seeking a qualified and compassionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to work with students with diverse needs, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to their unique requirements. Key Responsibilities: Virtual Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, challenges, and learning needs. Direct Instruction and Support: Provide direct instruction and support to students via teletherapy platforms, using evidence-based practices to promote academic, social, and emotional growth. Technology and Data Management: Utilize technology to manage and deliver services, including teletherapy platforms, educational software, and data management tools. Qualifications and Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License: Hold a valid Minnesota special education teaching license, with a strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Experience Working with Students with Disabilities: Have experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other disabilities. Strong Communication and Technology Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and professionals. Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage a remote schedule, with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Teletherapy: Have experience working with teletherapy platforms and delivering services remotely. Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices: Be familiar with evidence-based practices in special education, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), positive behavioral supports (PBS), and universal design for learning (UDL). Experience with IEP Development: Have experience developing and implementing IEPs, with a strong understanding of IEP goals, objectives, and accommodations.
