Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tumbling Clinic Coach to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality youth sports programs. As a Tumbling Clinic Coach, you will be responsible for instructing and implementing lesson plans for tumbling, organizing groups of participants, and ensuring the overall program runs smoothly. If you have a strong background in tumbling and coaching, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with youth, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Key Responsibilities Instruct and implement lesson plans for tumbling, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for participants of all ages and abilities. Organize groups of participants through different drills and activities, making sure the overall program runs smoothly, including starting and ending according to schedules made by the Director. Assist in the preparation of programs as assigned by Program Director(s), including developing lesson plans, setting up equipment, and communicating with participants and parents. Communicate important information regarding the YMCA and youth sports to all participants and parents, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. Handle onsite issues and concerns in an appropriate manner, communicating relevant information to the Program Director(s) and ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants. Represent the YMCA in a professional manner at all times, embodying our values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility. Essential Qualifications Certifications: CPR, AED, & Basic First Aid certification. Tumbling knowledge/experience, with a strong understanding of the rules and regulations of the sport. Maintains applicable sport certifications as necessary (through the Y or other licensing agencies). Must be at least 16 years of age. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching or playing sports, with a strong background in tumbling. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, staff, and community members. Ability to organize groups of people effectively, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Knowledge of youth development principles and practices, with a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, staff, and community members. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a strong flexibility and willingness to learn.
