Job Overview This temporary, remote position is designed to support our catastrophe relief efforts, providing essential assistance to those affected by natural disasters. As a CAT Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering empathetic support and exceptional service to our customers during their time of need. With flexible hours of operation from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM CST, you will have the opportunity to choose shifts that suit your schedule and work from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities Apply the latest customer service techniques to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs, ensuring a positive experience during a difficult time. Offer empathy and support to customers throughout the claim process, demonstrating a genuine understanding of their situation and providing reassurance. Collect and document all claim details provided by the customer, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in our account management systems. Identify and resolve customer issues by adhering to client-specific handling instructions, utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling customer claims and inquiries. Utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot and follow up on customer issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age or older Hold a high school diploma or equivalent Possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills Have the ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute) Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Have a basic understanding of Windows operating systems Be highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality Be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious) Be able to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage in a fast-paced environment Be authorized to work in the country where the job is based Be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in customer service or a related field Basic knowledge of call center software and technology Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Technical Requirements To perform this role, you will need to have your own computer that meets the following specifications: Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Home Note: Chromebooks, macOS, Linux, and other operating systems are not supported In addition to the computer requirements, you will also need to meet the following network requirements: Run a Speedtest from the computer you will be working from (www.speedtest.net) upon hire Have a reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload Use a private network, as public locations are not allowed Avoid using VPNs, as logins must happen in the US Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
