Job Overview The External Support Engineer at arenaflex is responsible for providing top-notch technical support to external content creation teams, serving as the primary point of contact for tool-related issues and feedback. As a critical member of our team, you will work closely with both internal development teams and external partners to resolve technical issues, develop reference materials, and advocate for tool improvements. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our external content teams and driving the continued growth and innovation of arenaflex. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to content/external teams in regard to the use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime Create comprehensive reference materials and deliver training sessions to get external teams up to speed with our toolset, promoting efficient adoption and utilization Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, quickly resolving issues for users and escalating complex problems to the tool development team as needed Collaborate with the production team to track issues in JIRA, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up on pending issues Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement within arenaflex Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that enhance efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our tools and solutions meet the evolving needs of our external content teams Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the high standards of arenaflex and promoting a positive, supportive work environment Essential Qualifications To succeed as an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will need: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical principles and practices Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical support and resolving complex issues Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a solid understanding of the technical aspects of content creation and the tools that support it Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software, enabling effective issue management and collaboration with internal teams iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a broad understanding of the technical landscape and the ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms At least 5 years of experience delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your technical expertise and collaborative approach Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience working with external content creation teams, with a deep understanding of their needs and challenges Strong knowledge of C# code, with the ability to read, write, and debug code as needed Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with external partners and stakeholders A positive attitude and the ability to receive and provide objective, constructive feedback, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Technical expertise: a strong foundation in technical principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve complex issues and drive innovation Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with external partners, internal teams, and stakeholders Collaboration and teamwork: a strong ability to work collaboratively with others, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, mutual respect, and open communication Problem-solving and analytical skills: a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions Adaptability and flexibility: a willingness to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and workflows, with a flexible approach to work and a commitment to continuous learning Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for continuous learning, professional development, and career advancement.
