Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in various educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools. Develop and implement lesson plans, adapting to the needs of the classroom and the students. Manage classroom behavior, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a smooth and successful assignment. Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback, develop your skills, and address any concerns. Essential Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits. Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor. NJ Substitute Credential. Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this). Full COVID-19 vaccination. A passion for education and putting students first. An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience. Special education or paraprofessional experience. Experience working with diverse student populations.
