About the Role The Student Success Coach position at blithequark is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students. As a coach, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and guidance to a group of assigned students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and reach their full potential. This role involves working from the comfort of your own home office, with a set schedule during our hours of operation, which include Monday to Thursday from 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 5pm CDT. We welcome applications from talented individuals across all time zones, as long as you have availability during our operating hours. Key Responsibilities Provide enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a high-quality learning experience for our students. Manage a caseload of assigned students, proactively reaching out to coach and support them throughout their degree program. Encourage and support students through regular outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Create a safe and trusted environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on utilizing resources to maximize student success, and become a certified resume reviewer to provide expert resume and career development support. Act as a liaison between students and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and support. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic support, admissions, customer service, human resources, or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to quickly learn technical skills. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and a passion for helping others achieve their goals. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with academic support software and technology. Certification in resume writing or career coaching (or willingness to obtain certification).
